~*~*90 Days Away*~*~

I had some major wedding accomplishments this weekend.
Well, maybe not major...But any wedding planning accomplishments make me happy. :)

I picked out my bridesmaid's shoes. All along I had been looking at different shops that could dye a shoe the closest to Watermelon as possible. And then I was going to let my girls pick whatever style they wanted, as long as they all got them the same color.
But short of David's Bridal itself, I was not having any luck finding a color close enough.

I was not panicking that I could not find the exact same color...Because the dress is black, not pink...So the shoes just had to look very close (but not necessarily exact) to the sash.
Except my Maid of Honor is getting pink, even though her sash is white. I just wasn't feeling her having white shoes. And black would be too dark with a black dress, in August...And she could have done silver, but she wanted pink like the other girls, and that was more than fine with me. But by coincidence, the pink shoe I picked out does actually come in silver too...So Nicole could have stood out as Maid of Honor and still matched the other girls if she wanted to. Of course, their gowns are long, so no one is really even going to notice their shoes.

Of course, I'll make sure to do a shoe shot of us all. :)

So here it is:

I think it is a perfect compromise for every girl. Since some girls are tall, some are short, some wanted a flat shoe, some wanted a high heel. This is like a 2 1/2 inch heel. And it is a wide heel. So I think it is a perfect in between shoe for everyone.

Oh and because I have an obsession with the color pink and with shoes...I totally bought a pair of these shoes for myself, just because they are so damn cute! :) (And on sale! Yay!)
I thought about wearing them for my wedding...But I am still holding out for these:

More than likely if I got these shoes I would keep them white...But they are dyeable...So I could get them hot pink. :)

Also, I finally got a dress that I LOVE for my Bridal Shower...And it was on sale! It was actually the only dress left at the store...So the size is kinda too big on me. So my Gramma is going to have to take it in a bit. BUT the best part is, it totallyyyyy goes great with those pink 'bridesmaids' shoes. So now I have an excuse to wear my new pink shoes! :)

This & That

I decided I am stressing so much that wedding planning is no longer fun. So I am going to go back to just looking up cute random wedding things, like back in the day when this was still stress-free and fun.

I am pretty positive that I need to order that garter set!!

That one is cute too because the 'B' in the photo can be customized to an 'H' in my case...Or 'August 21, 2010' or something. So that's cute and I like the personalization.

Another cute set. I am very specific about the pattern being black with a white background...There are a lot with black background and white pattern.

Of course I can always forget the damask theme and just go with black and pink.

Or I can always try to find one that is just solid hot pink.

More random cute stuff:

How cute is this luggage tag? Hehe

Oh, also, I went to 552 different stores over the weekend to look for bridal shoes. And I think I found the ones I want:

I am pretty much in Love. :)

Shoes

So as we all know, I have been dying to wear hot pink shoes for my wedding. However, I am having the HARDEST time finding any shoes that I like. I have gone to a lot of stores and have spent countless hours searching online.

So I am starting to wonder if I should just go back traditional white.

It is hard to find the perfect shoe for me.
A few things to consider:
1) I have very weak ankles, so I can't wear stiletto heels, I am best with thick heels or wedges. 2) 2) On flat feet Jon is only like 3 or 4 inches taller than me, so I don't want to get heels that as so big that I'm taller than him.
3) My dress is pretty damn near impossible to shorten, due to all of the details throughout the entire dress. Also, the dress is actually a petite size, so if I get a shoe with around a 3 inch or so heel, the dress won't need to be shorted. (I have to double check on the exact measurement)

Some shoes I just came across:

More Color Inspiration

More about the black and white Damask/Paisley/Brocade patterns and splashes of hot pink wedding theme idea...

So I was thinking that instead of my girls wearing the pattern as a dress...They can wear solid hot pink and my MOH can wear solid black.
Or the girls wear solid hot pink with a black bow/ribbon/sash and my MOH wears solid black with a hot pink sash/ribbon/bow.

Since I do definitely want uniformity with my girls, I still always figured (and probably have mentioned a few times) that my MOH's dress will be slightly different. And this might be a good compromise since my sister really doesn't want to wear pink.

I originally figured they would all have the same dress style and color, and the top of the dress would just differ slightly (ie, strapless, halter, tank, etc.) so that the MOH could be easily distinguished from the other girls.
But the exact same gown on all of them, with the opposite color is another idea that I think I will run with.

I never really cared for the idea of say all the girls in dark purple and the MOH in light purple, for example.
But black with pink and pink with black, I'm liking that idea...

I mean obviously if my girls look horrible in pink, I will choose something else.
And then of course the hassle will begin to try to find a dress that will flatter all of them.

But right now, back to my wedding color ideas.

I know I used to always say I didn't want anyone wearing black or white to my wedding...Black is for a funeral and white is just for the bride...But look how classy this looks:

So now of course I have to rethink my wedding cake idea.
To something more like...

That. Only I would want all of the tiers to have that same pattern that is shown on the 2'nd and 4th tier...The white background with the black pattern. And then I guess the bottom of each tier could have an (edible) hot pink ribbon going around it.

Bridesmaid Shoes

Remember this bridesmaid outfit I liked?

How funny is it that I accidentally found these shoes:

It is probably too much to wear together. But it just matches so perfectly! Considering they are completely different designers and everything.
But the solid black skirt would break up too much pink and black lace...Right?
Haha Well, if my girls won't wear it, I should just buy the outfit for myself to wear somewhere! ;)

IF in the odd chance that the whole outfit and shoe combination does look good together...AND IF in the even odder chance that my girls are willing to wear it, then I would totally get those shoes for my wedding shoes to match them!

Unless a white gown and pink & black shoes don't look right?
Pink with white lace would match my wedding gown...But I love pink and black.

PLUS, pink and black is a total option for my wedding colors...So even if the girls don't wear that dress or shoes, I can still wear those shoes! :)

Random Fun Wedding Stuff

And for the second time today, I just lost the wedding post I was writing and need to start over, yet again.

Basically, I was just posting some cute random wedding pictures to curb my wedding addiction for tonight.

I simply adore this picture!!
Those are my dream shoes...They have been for the past several years. I just love the ribbon and lace...And, well, just everything about them is so adorable!
Unfortunately, I have never been able to wear them because of my incredibly weak ankles. :(
So I have to wear flats (which I hate, since I am so short!) or thick heels that give my ankles better support.
So I just love that I found that someone used my dream pink stilettos for their wedding! :)

Yes, I admit that it is kinda tacky looking...And I don't think I am really digging the whole tree thing. BUT it is pink and has bling...So I figured, "Why not just post it?"

I kinda like that neat criss-cross thingy that's going on in the back at the bottom there.

And I guess that is about it for tonight's random wedding related photographs. :)

More Shoe Thoughts...Now with Pictures! :)

Look how cute:

I know that is red and not pink...But the idea is that they all have adorable matching shoes! :)

Talk about pink! :)
Wow!
Haha That is SO me! But I really don't know if I would wear that in my wedding or not...

Hehe These are Hott!! :)

Again these are red and not pink...But just continuing to show the colored wedding shoe trend.

Every color now!

Shoe Thoughts

I had always assumed that I would wear white or silver shoes with my wedding gown.

However, lately I have been seeing brides wearing all sorts of colored shoes under their gown.

Now, I absolutely ADORE the color pink...So I have been thinking that maybe I will wear cute pink heels on my gown.

If my colors end up having pink in them, then I can match my shoes to the theme...Or even wear the same shoes I have my girls wear.

Or even if my theme doesn't have pink in it, I love pink, so maybe I will wear pink shoes anyway.

Maybe I will have some pink in my gown? That can match the theme and tie in my colored shoes.
Most likely I will have a solid white gown...But just thinking out loud here.

Just another random thought to add to this "scrapbook."
:)
