3 Weeks & 5 Days away...

HOLY CANNOLI!!

My wedding is in only 3 weeks & 5 days!!

I have so much left to do!

If I were on My Fair Wedding with David Tutera, he would be coming this Saturday (exactly 3 weeks away) and rescuing me! And then he would finish all of this wedding stuff for me.

Too bad I'm not on his show. :(

Hair Drama

I am seriously having the HARDEST time trying to decide on how I want to wear my hair for my wedding!!
I have my hair trial on July 31st...Only 9 days away!! And I seriously keep changing my mind on what I want to do.

For a little while I had myself convinced that it would be for the best to just go with a full-on up-do. But now I'm really back to wanting the half-do that I've wanted all along.

My hair dresser thinks that will look bad with my halter dress...But everyone else seems to think I should wear my hair however the hell I want to...Since, after all, it is my wedding.

However, I can't help but wonder if I should listen to my hairdresser's advice...Since she is a professional who has done a million wedding up-dos...Including brides in halters.

Ugh. I just don't know what to do.

I can see ups and downs (no pun intended!)...pros & cons of both styles.

And I just can't decide what I want to do! :(

As of right this second, I am still leaning towards having some hair up and some hair down.
I figured I will go for my trial and then run home and put my gown on so I can see how it looks all together...And if I love it, then yay...And if I hate it, I'll schedule a second trial.
I think that is probably the only way to settle it.

I went for my first wedding gown fitting on Monday, July 19th. The seamstress said she would have it done for me on Monday August 2'nd. But I wanted to be able to put the dress on with my hair done up on the 31st...So I asked her if I could come over to put it on quickly after my hair appointment. And she said she doesn't work on Saturdays...So she will have it ready for me to take home on Friday July 30th...So I will have it at home to try on after my hair trial on the 31st. YAY!

Grrrr...Google Image Search is just NOT helping me today!! :'(

I guess maybe something kinda like this...But prettier. Hahaha

Maybe something like this...It looks mostly up, but still has enough long hanging curls to show off my length.

This one can really either work for myself or for my bridesmaids...

Which brings me to another question...Since my vote for having my bridesmaids have full up french twists was shot down, is it OK for them to have half dos if I do too?

Like without thinking about my hair and their hair at the same time, I wanted them to have elegant French Twists and I have my hair all down or half up and half down...
Then when one bridesmaid suggested that full up hair with their strapless gowns wouldn't look good, and I figured they would get half-up, half-down...That's at the same time I had been convincing myself that I would have a full up-do. SO...how would it look if we ALL have half-up, half-down dos?

Granted, I want them to have half up french twists...And I would have some kind of half up curly thing...But from the front they would probably all look the same...And I have no idea if that's OK or not.

INVITATIONS!

Now that all of the invitations have been mailed and received by all of our guests...I can finally post an entry showing what they look like! I didn't want to do it prior to mailing them out, because I didn't want to ruin the surprise.

Front of the Invitation:

Back of the Invitation:

Front of the Response Card (Except this photo shows the wrong RSVP Date):

Back Left of the Response Card:

Awesome, right? :)

Not everyone was able to tell that it is Jon and I in the photo.

So our original estimate was that 150 people will come to the wedding.
We ended up inviting more people than originally planned...And wayyy more people than we budgeted for.
Unfortunately we actually didn't even invite everyone on our Ultimate Guest List.

The totals so far are:

People Invited: 290

People Responded "Yes": 88

People Responded "No": 48

People Haven't Said Anything Yet: 154

So we are still waiting on 78 of 143 Response cards to come back.

The RSVP deadline date isn't for another 12 days...But I'm impatient. I like to be prepared and organized...And the sooner I get a total head count, the sooner I can work on various odds and ends and details.

Also, I act like it is Christmas every day when I go to the mailbox to see if we get RSVP cards or not...And then if we do it's like I'm a little kid opening the present and wondering 'is it a good present or not?' when I look to see what people respond with.

Yes, I am an uber dork. But I've come to accept that. So, it's all good.

I just cannot get over how fast time is just flying by!
I know plenty of people have told me how fast it will come and go...But JEEZ!

I mean, we have already been engaged for 282 days...And only have 33 days of being engaged left!!
Not to mention that we have already been dating for 1,135 days.

HOLY CANOLLI!! Seriously, feels like just yesterday we met...

WOW!

When we first got engaged and then picked a date it felt like forever away. And I was glad we only picked a year of being engaged as opposed to two years like we were contemplating...Because that would really have felt like forever away. But now it would only be like a year away. We would have more time to plan, and most importantly to save money.
But I am also glad that we are only 1 Month and 2 Days away...Because I am just soooo excited!!

OK, I'll stop rambling now. :)

Weather Freak Out!!

I mentioned this I think back in October or November...But the Farmer's Almanac still predicts crappy weather for my wedding day! :(

I don't know how the Farmer's Almanac works though...I don't know if they make it like a year in advance and never change it. So I have been going back and checking on it, but maybe it never changes.

Either way, here is a screen shot I just took off their website:

(If you click on it, it gets larger and is much more readable)

So yeah...It says, "Aug 21-25: Heavy rain, chilly"

So not ideal wedding weather! :(

I know they say that rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck...But, ugh. Not what I want.
Well, I want the luck of course...But not the cold heavy rain.

Of course today's weather is 92*F right now, with a Real Feel of 96*F.

So if I could have some kind of happy medium between the two, I would be really happy! :)

Only 46 days left to go!

Something Old, Something New...

I think I finally have each piece of the rhyme! :)

Something Old: My deceased grandmother's engagement ring. I will wear it on my right hand

Something New: My dress, my tiara, my shoes, my veils, etc.

Something Borrowed: One of my Bridesmaid's has a shoe clip that says "Bride" in blue...She wore it last year in her wedding for her Something Blue. I will wear it as my Something Borrowed. But I guess it could always double as my Something Blue

Something Blue: I just bought these from Victoria's Secret:

Also, the lady who made my garter said she put a blue stitch in it for a Something Blue.

And a Sixpence in her shoe: This is the least popular part of the rhyme. I'm not normally superstitious, but I decided I should finish out the tradition. So I bought myself a sixpence for my shoe.

I think that is all taken care of. I just need to get ring guard for my grandma's ring. And then I guess that is something else to cross of my To-Do list. :)
