Making Progress! {67 Days Left!}

I am so excited for the purchases I have just made!
AND they are all black & white damask objects! YAY! :)

One of the many projects I said I was going to make for this wedding, was a card box. After 8 Months (and 4 days, to be exact) of being engaged flew by, I knew that many of my original projects would have to be aborted. Including making my own card box. I was going to see what kind of card box my reception hall offered, but then I came across this online and just had to order it:

I know the pattern is black background with white pattern instead of white background with black pattern like my table squares are...But I doubt too many other people (if even anyone other than myself) will notice that.

It was used once in a recent wedding. And I thought it was perfect that it already has a 'H' monogram on top! The girl seemed nice and gave it to me for a pretty reasonable price.

For a minute I thought that the headless statues were creepy, so my mom had a good idea that we can put a picture of Jon and myself in each of the statues to make it cute and less creepy.

I am also wondering if I can sell it after my wedding.

For any Brides-To-Be out there, you should definitely check out the Classifieds section of WeddingBee! Millions of Brides out there are selling all of their wedding stuff at reduced costs! That is where I got the card box from...And I am probably going to try to put it back up for sale on there after my wedding.

Another purchase I just made was for my garter set! Yay!

Pretty right? I first mentioned a similar garter set here...But decided against that hot pink set and instead went with this fuchsia set...I thought it matched my theme better. For anyone interested in purchasing a set like this, this came from the same Etsy seller as the hot pink set. Also, she says that she puts a blue stitch in each of the garters for the 'Something Blue'...Which is awesome, because I was still lacking a 'Something Blue'!

The third purchase I just made was for a custom set of Unity Candles.

So originally I put in an order for this candle:

But then as I looked through more of her work I came across this set:

And I fell in love with the full damask background, as opposed to it just being on the top and bottom of the candle.

THEN I saw this candle:

And asked her to make me a rhinestone 'H' like that 'M'....But she said it wouldn't fit on my candle in the design I chose. :(

So she said that she will try to add a few Rhinestones to the printed 'H' for me. :)

She sent me a proof:

I am SOOOOO glad that she did, because well, Jon's name is spelled wrong!

So I let her know and she is going to fix the spelling...Also, I told her to use the other pattern that I had asked for. Since this is black background, white pattern....And I asked for white background and black pattern. And the third adjustment I asked her to make was to put the date in fuchsia to match the ribbons.
And then I changed my mind and asked her to keep the names and date in black, but make the 'H' in fuchsia...And then have the 'C' and 'J' on the tapers be in fuchsia too.

So I am very excited to see the next proof she sends me! :)
