"Chinese culture have believe that the wedding day should be happened in a good day for the good luck of the couple.
Do not pick the month of March, July & September because this three months are the month of ghost. No good thing, such as wedding, should happens in those months. And August is a good month for wedding, because the mid autumn festival is a very important event for chinese. It means the reunion of the happy family.
If you ask master to pick the good day for you, bride’s birthday should be considered first. Because, chinese belief wedding day is the most important time for women life time.
Never pick parents’ birthday as your wedding day. Because the couple should not take the good luck of their parents.
Although, chinese good day is a very old tradition in chinese culture, you should still consider the real life situation such as the work schedule of both family key members. So that all the family memeber would be able to attend the wedding ceremony. Family is the most important thing in Chinese culture, we should be give up the notion of family for any reason."
Of course, in my case, that has a contradiction...See it says not to have a July wedding, but consider the bride's birthday for the wedding. Well, my birthday is in July.
Go figure!
